In an effort to continue to make Nassau one of the safest places for pedestrians in the nation, Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano, joined by New York State Senator Jack M. Martins; New York State Department of Transportation (DOT) Commissioner Joan McDonald; New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Commissioner Barbara Fiala; and Michael Setzer, Chief Executive Officer of NICE Bus, announced a new County-wide initiative called "Walk Safe Nassau" to educate people about pedestrian safety. The program will provide information that will help decrease pedestrian accidents across Nassau County.
The program, called Walk Safe Nassau, will include informational fliers, posters in local businesses throughout the County and posters on the NICE bus system which operates in Nassau. To learn more click herehttp://tinyurl.com/88uhlb7 |
