The Legal Division at the Office of Consumer Affairs provides legal guidance to the Office regarding the interpretation of laws as applied to specific consumer problems, complaints and issues brought to the Office. The Division also addresses policy issues that confront consumers, negotiates settlements on behalf of the Office, arranges and directs investigations, serves as the legal liaison with other agency legal divisions, and assists in the administration of the Office.
