About Us
Nassau County Executive Hon. Edward P. Mangano established the Nassau County Office of Community Development (OCD) as the administrative team to implement & monitor the programs & grants initiated by Federal US Department of Housing & Urban Development since 1974.
We are dedicated to building a stronger community through the Community Development Block Grant, HOME Investment Partnerships Programs and various other HUD & Federal initiatives within the Nassau County Urban County Consortium which is made up of 34 municipalities including 2 Cities, 3 Towns, and 29 Villages.
Our mission is to support the underserved communities by providing decent housing, a suitable living environment and expanding economic opportunities for low and moderate income families.
We also encourage all municipalities of Nassau County to become a member of the consortium.
