The Nassau County Leisure Pass identifies its holder as a Nassau County resident and is required for entry into many recreational facilities. The pass also provides residents with discounts to pools, skating rinks, golf courses, tennis courts, beaches, marinas and cabanas operated by the Nassau County Department of Parks, Recreation and Museums. In general, a Leisure Pass is required of residents 13 years of age and older. Youngsters who utilize county-operated golf courses, regardless of age, must have a Leisure Pass.
Specially marked Leisure Passes are offered to senior citizens, Veterans and people who have chronic physical or mental disabilities (medical documentation is required before a Leisure Pass for the disabled can be issued). A Senior Citizen Leisure Pass is valid for as long as county residency is maintained and proof of age is submitted (60+); however, residency must be validated every three years. Leisure Passes for the disabled and Veterans must be revalidated every three years and the $25 fee will be applied. For all others, the pass remains valid for three years from effective date.
The Leisure Pass fee is $25.
NOTE: A listing of Leisure Pass application centers is available below. Please call ahead to ensure availability of passes and staff, as some parks may not have full-time staffing during non-peak seasons.
