NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to the County Government Law of Nassau County, the Nassau County Legislature will hold a public hearing in the Meeting Room of the Nassau County Legislature, Theodore Roosevelt Executive and Legislative Building, 1550 Franklin Avenue, Mineola, New York, May 21, 2012 at ten o'clock in the morning on  Proposed Local Law(s) entitled:

A LOCAL LAW TO PROHIBIT THE SALE OF SYNTHETIC CANNABINOIDS IN NASSAU COUNTY. 154-12(HE)

A LOCAL LAW TO AMEND TITLE 72 OF THE MISCELLANEOUS LAWS OF NASSAU COUNTY ENTITLED “VEHICLE OWNER LIABILITY FOR FAILURE OF AN OPERATOR TO COMPLY WITH TRAFFIC CONTROL INDICATIONS.” 164-12(CE)

A LOCAL LAW AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY EXECUTIVE TO TAKE ANY AND ALL ACTIONS HE DEEMS NECESSARY TO CREATE FORTY-MILLION-DOLLARS IN SAVINGS FOR THE COUNTY. 315-12(CE)

A copy of the proposed Local Laws are on file and may be examined in the Office of the Clerk of the Nassau County Legislature during normal business hours.

Passes will be distributed on a first come first served basis beginning at 9:30 AM and attendees will be given an opportunity to sign in to address the Legislature for a maximum of three minutes. The Nassau County Legislature is committed to making its public meetings accessible to individuals with disabilities and every reasonable accommodation will be made so that they can participate.
