Leg. Wink Celebrates Atlantic Hook & Ladder's 125th Anniversary

Nassau County Legislator Wayne Wink (D-Roslyn) joined the firefighters and the families of Port Washington’s Atlantic Hook & Ladder Company No. 1 to celebrate the company’s 125th Anniversary. Founded in 1886, Atlantic Hook & Ladder is the first organized fire company in Port Washington. Legislator Wink expressed his appreciation to the Company’s firefighters for their expertise in and dedication to safeguarding the lives of all the community’s residents. In addition to their responsibilities at fires, Atlantic Hook & Ladder Company’s firefighters are responsible for responding to all emergencies in Port Washington.
