Garvies Point Museum Premieres Film on Climate Change on May 14

Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano announces that the Garvies Point Museum and Preserve in Glen Cove will the premier the screening of director Lynne Cherry’s film, “Young Voices on Climate Change,” on Saturday, May 14, at 1 p.m.

The movie presents a series of global initiatives by elementary and high school students designed to address global warming, including recycling and energy strategies. The program is free with regular museum admission.

The Garvies Point Museum and beautiful adjoining 62-acre preserve are located at 50 Barry Drive in Glen Cove by Hempstead Harbor. Admission to the museum is $3 for adults and $2 for children 5 to 12 (those under 5 years of age are admitted free when accompanied by a parent).
