09/17/08 The County has reached agreement with the Tax Certiorari Bar to use the following ratios for the settlement or resolution of the 2009-10 administrative and judicial proceedings:

07/02/07 The Assessment Review Commission issued a new schedule of information requests, conference and examination dates for commercial assessment appeals.
04/20/07 The Assessment Review Commission determined class ratios for 2008-09 administrative assessment review proceedings:
Class 1 - 0.250% Class 2 - 0.960% Class 4 - 0.960%
The County Attorney's office and law firms representing taxpayers stipulated to the same ratios for Classes 2 and 4 for purposes of judicial review.
11/01/06 A transition assessment calculator is available on the Practitioners' Page.
09/07/06 The Assessment Review Commission issued a new schedule of information requests, conference and examination dates for commercial assessment appeals.
05/12/06 Refunds: The County has deposited funds into an escrow account relating to specific claims of assessment error where the Assessment Review Commission found the claim to be meritorious. Click here to see a list of the items. The determination does not necessarily effect a final settlement of the claim. Click here to read the terms for release of funds.
05/11/06 The Assessment Review Commission determined class ratios for 2007-08 administrative assessment review proceedings:
Class 1 - 0.250% Class 2 - 0.965% Class 4 - 0.965%
The County Attorney’s office and law firms representing taxpayers stipulated to the same ratios for Classes 2 and 4 for purposes of judicial review.
01/02/06 AROW provides online services for homeowners, commercial property owners and real estate tax practitioners, including online appeals, property search, a residential sale locator and public information on past and pending assessment appeals.
12/19/05 Refunds: The County has deposited funds into an escrow account relating to specific claims of assessment error where the Assessment Review Commission found the claim to be meritorious but where no settlement has been reached with the taxpayer’s attorney. A list of the cases involved will be posted on this site.
08/10/05 The Assessment Review Commission determined class ratios for 2006-07 administrative assessment review proceedings:
Class 1 - 0.250% Class 2 - 0.935% Class 4 - 0.935%
The County Attorney’s office and law firms representing taxpayers stipulated to the same ratios for purposes of judicial review.
08/08/05 The Assessment Review Commission issued a new schedule of information requests and conference or examination dates for commercial assessment appeals. Schedules covering all pending appeals were distributed to applicants’ attorneys.
