(Mineola, NY) Nassau County Assessor Harvey Levinson today announced that he has promoted James Davis to serve as his Deputy Assessor to assist in administering and supervising all of the day-to-day administrative activities of the Department of Assessment.
Mr. Davis has worked for the Department of Assessment for over a decade in a number of managerial and clerical capacities and currently serves as the Department’s contracts and purchasing expert. His provisional appointment will become finalized upon the passing of a civil service test.
“Jim is one of the brightest and most talented individuals to have ever worked at the Department of Assessment and I am proud to be able to include him as part of my management team,” stated Assessor Levinson. “His reputation within the County is impeccable and he is certainly a role model to anyone who wishes to pursue a career in government service.”
Mr. Davis resides in Baldwin with his wife, Lisa, and their son, James.
