Levinson Announces 2006 Property Tax Exemptions Savings

(Mineola, NY) Nassau County Assessor Harvey Levinson today announced that the Department of Assessment approved and applied over 76,000 senior citizens and veterans’ property exemptions to the 2005-06 County Assessment Roll totaling in excess of over $47 million dollars in exemption savings.

The number of exemptions and amount of assessment savings for senior citizens and veterans for each town and city are as follows:
