County Clerk Meets With Oceanside Chamber

(Mineola, NY)   Nassau County Clerk Maureen O’Connell recently joined the meeting of the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce to speak to the members about the services the Clerk’s office provides to residents, including the free recording of Veteran Certificate of Release and Discharge (DD-214).  She further explained the Clerk’s Office new ‘Veterans Recognition Program’ which would offer discounts at local businesses to the Veterans who record their discharge papers.  Clerk O’Connell also warned them of deed solicitations that are continually being sent to area homeowners that offer to purchase deeds on their behalf for up to 1700% more than the Clerk’s Office fees and initiatives undertaken at the Clerk’s office to assist and protect local residents.
