Internship Opportunities for High School Graduates
In The Office of the County Clerk
Nassau County Clerk Maureen O’Connell announced that High School graduate internship opportunities for college credits are available in her office. The County Clerk has varied duties from maintaining millions of vital legal documents and county records to providing public information. In addition to securing and maintaining records, the County Clerk serves as a public information office for the thousands of individuals that pass through her doors annually.
We are looking for students who may be considering a career in law, public administration, finance, communications, journalism and / or archival history to join our staff.
If you have a genuine interest in government and the ability to interact with the public a wide array of skills can be learned that can provide a beneficial experience. College students will get the opportunity to work with County Clerk personnel, which include paralegals, attorneys, accountants, bookkeepers, recording clerks, legislative liaison and public information coordinator. This internship will provide students with an excellent learning opportunity as well as a chance to contribute to Nassau County’s greatness.
