(Mineola, NY)  Nassau County Clerk Maureen O’Connell was recently honored with a special service award by AHRC Nassau at their 63rd Annual Rose Ball.

AHRC Nassau was established in 1949 to support individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. AHRC strives to teach, support and advocate for children and adults with developmental disabilities to make life choices, exercise independence and develop responsibility. Today AHRC Nassau supports over 2,000 individuals through a wide array of programs including residential services, adult day habilitation and community-based services.
Every year the Rose Ball brings together the AHRC community, their supporters and area officials to celebrate a shared commitment to continually provide vital services for people with special needs.

Clerk O’Connell is grateful to be recognized by this outstanding organization.
