County Clerk Attends Anna House Extension Dedication

The not-for-profit Belmont Child Care Association (The BCCA) recently celebrated the grand opening of an extension to Anna House, the child care center which serves the children of the workers who care for the horses at Belmont and Aqueduct Racetracks.  Nassau County Clerk Maureen O’Connell attended the dedication of two much needed new classrooms and expressed her congratulations to Chairman of The BCCA Michael Dubb, builder and donor of the expansion as well as the original building.  Dubb was presented with a County Citation by County Executive Ed Mangano in recognition of his generosity and service to the community.

Anna House accommodates the work schedules of parents in the racing community.  It provides child care and early childhood education as well as scholarships for those who cannot afford the cost of care.  The children receive the education and support to become America’s productive, engaged citizens of tomorrow.
