Holocaust Remembrance Day Observed

(Mineola, NY)  Area officials gathered recently to observe YomHaShoah or Holocaust Remembrance Day to honor and commemorate the millions of lives lost during the Holocaust.  Hosted by the 5 Towns Jewish Council and The Jewish Press, the program was a meaningful and fitting tribute in remembrance of this tragic time in our world’s history.  Among those in attendance were, pictured from left to right, Prof. Asher Matathias of Woodmere and President of B’nai B’rith Long Island Lodge # 1353, Nassau County Clerk Maureen O’Connell and Rabbi Anchelle Perl of Chabad of Mineola.
