Nassau County Clerk Maureen O’Connell announced on June 30th, the ‘Veterans Recognition Program’.  Based on the success of a program founded by the Levittown Chamber of Commerce, County Clerk O’Connell is launching a county-wide veteran discount program.  The County Clerk’s Office records Veteran Discharge (DD-214) papers free of charge in recognition of their service to our   country.  Upon recording the original copy, the veteran will be eligible for discounts at participating businesses throughout Nassau County.
