NYSHIP: The Empire Plan

Most Nassau County employees are enrolled in NYSHIP: The Empire Plan. NYSHIP is an abbreviation for New York State Health Insurance Plan.

NYSHIP provides medical, surgical and hospital benefits for County enrollees and their eligible dependents through The Empire Plan, a health insurance program designed exclusively for New York State’s public employees.
