Comptroller Weitzman Names Jostyn Hernandez New Assistant Communications Director

Nassau County Comptroller Howard Weitzman has appointed Jostyn Hernandez, of Levittown, to the position of Assistant Director of Communications.  Hernandez was formerly a field producer for 1010 WINS Radio.

“After years of being interviewed by Jostyn when he worked for 1010 WINS, I was impressed by his abilities and decided he would make a great addition to my communications team,” Comptroller Weitzman said. “His experience, especially with the Long Island media, will help us inform the taxpayers about the financial health of the county and how their tax dollars are being spent.”

At 1010 WINS, Hernandez was responsible for coverage of major Long Island news stories and also created the first Spanish news program for 1010 WINS.  He received a bachelor’s degree in English from Queens College and graduated with honors in Journalism.  He currently resides in Levittown with his wife.
