Comptroller Weitzman Names
Carole Trottere New Communications Director
Nassau County Comptroller Howard Weitzman has appointed Carole Trottere to the position of Director of Communications. With an extensive background in government and journalism, Trottere formally served as the press secretary for the Nassau County Legislative Majority.
“I am pleased to welcome Carole to our team,” Comptroller Weitzman said. “Her years of experience in journalism, government and communications will help us inform the taxpayers about the financial health of the county and how their tax dollars are being spent.”
Ms. Trottere replaces Allen Morrison, who accepted a position with the Hofstra School of Law.
During her seven years at the legislature, Trottere served as press spokesperson for 10 lawmakers. She has written for several tourism and film publications in South Carolina and held the positions of reporter and editor for the Valley Stream Herald. She is also an award-winning columnist.
She received a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Penn State University and currently resides in Old Field, Suffolk County.
