Bay Park Plant director of Building and Operations, Mike Fasano gave the media and residents a tour of the Bay Park plant followed by County Executive, Ed Mangano and Environmentalist groups outlining the unforseen circumstances and reality of hurricane "Sandy" and the plans for a plant upgrade which includes and outflow pipe to keep local waters safe in the future. last month the dechlorination facility at Nassau County’s Bay Park Sewage Treatment Plant has earned the American Council of Engineering Companies’ Diamond Award for design and operation. The County Executive is committed to further upgrade the plant and keep the public and local resident apprised of every step along the way.
