Suozzi Warns Against Illegal Fireworks
Nassau County Police Department to Step Up Enforcement on July 4th Holiday
Old Bethpage, N.Y. - Nassau County Executive Thomas R. Suozzi was joined by Police Commisioner Lawrence Mulvey and members of the Police Department's Arson Squad to warn residents of the dangers of illegal fireworks during the Fourth of July holiday. The County Executive also announced that the Police Department will be stepping up enforcement over the holiday to arrest those in possession of any fireworks.
The Arson Squad also detonated a car filled with fireworks to demonstrate their destructive nature and potential for physical injury.
