Mangano to Activate Non-Emergency Hotline Beginning Sunday at 7AM

Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano will activate the County’s Non-Emergency Hotline beginning tomorrow, October 28, 2012 at 7:00 a.m. as Hurricane Sandy continues its path towards the Long Island area. Residents with non-life threatening emergencies should dial 1-888-684-4274 for assistance beginning October 28, 2012 at 7am through the duration of the storm. All those with life threatening emergencies should call 911.

With Hurricane Sandy headed toward Long Island, Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano has also issued a Hurricane Preparedness Precautionary Alert to remind residents about the importance of assembling an “Emergency Go-Kit” and of having a Family and Friends Sheltering Plan in place.
