Mangano Recognizes KAPAC For Donation Of 200 Turkeys To Hurricane Sandy Victims
Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano was joined today joined by officials from the Korean American Public Affairs Committee (KAPAC), as well as members of Arumdaun Korean Presbyterian Church in Bethpage and otherKorean community organizations, as they donated 200 turkeys to families and seniors impacted by the damage of Hurricane Sandy.
County Executive Mangano stated, “Nassau County is fortunate to have the support of good organizations like KAPAC and strong community and civic leaders who will distribute food to those families impacted by the damage of Hurricane Sandy. I thank the Korean American Public Affairs Committee for their generosity this Thanksgiving.”
David Lee, President of the Korean American Public Affairs Committee, added, “The Korean community has always believed in the spirit of giving and desires to share blessings with its neighbors this Thanksgiving. For the past 8 years through the collaboration of churches and communities, we have donated hundreds of turkeys to the Village of Hempstead,the Town of Oyster Bay,other communities and soup kitchens. This year, we are especially pleased to help those impacted by the damage of Hurricane Sandy.”
