Nassau County Executive Tom Suozzi and Legislator Joe Scannell (D-Baldwin), have announced plans to move one of the county’s oldest police precincts to a brand new, state-of-the-art facility in Baldwin. The new precinct will be located in the Rosen Shopping Center at the intersection of Grand Avenue and Ethel Kloberg Drive, and will replace the precinct that is currently located on Merrick Avenue.
“I am pleased that the First Precinct will remain in Baldwin,” said County Executive Suozzi. “The current building is very old and the electrical system wasn't designed to accommodate the level of technology that we have now. The new precinct will be in a brand new, modern facility and will be equipped with all of the state-of-the-art tools that our police officers need to better serve the community.”
