Second Wind Dreams, an international nonprofit organization brought their “Virtual Dementia Tour” to the Theodore Roosevelt Executive and Legislative Building to improve sensitivity and awareness in individuals caring for those with dementia. The tour alters participant’s physical and sensory abilities with props and circumstances to simulate Alzheimer’s disease and participants are then asked to perform everyday tasks reacting with evident dementia like responses.
