Glen Cove Man Arraigned on Murder Charge
Judge denies bail, holds Marshall on murder charges
MINEOLA, NY - Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice announced today that Evan Marshall, 31, of Glen Cove, has been arraigned on charges of Murder in Second Degree in connection with Thursday’s homicide in Glen Cove, New York.
Mr. Marshall was arraigned before the Honorable Dana Jaffe in First District Court, Hempstead. The Judge granted the prosecution’s request to remand the defendant, currently in the Nassau County jail.
Major Offense Bureau Chief and Assistant District Attorney Mitch Benson and Assistant District Attorney Ken St. Bernard are handling the case for the District Attorney’s Office. Mr. Marshall is being represented by William Keahon, Esq.
Mr. Marshall is due back in court August 22, 2006.
The charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. |
