Internships
The Nassau County District Attorney’s Office offers internship programs for the fall and spring semesters, as well an eight-week program during the summer. All internships are voluntary/unpaid positions.Interns are assigned to assistant district attorneys in any of twelve major bureaus of the office. The directors of the program endeavor to have each intern assigned to an area that is somewhat related to an intern’s interests. If possible, interns will assist the attorneys in preparing cases for trial, investigation or appeal. At the end of the program, each intern is evaluated and if they are entering their third year of law school, they will be given an interview for a future position if that is their desire.
