What is the HIIP Program?
The High Impact Incarceration Program provides treatment referrals, case management and on-going support to clients with alcohol or substance abuse problems who are incarcerated or supervised and referred by NYS Division of Parole.
What services does HIIP provide?
HIIP advocates for paroled defendants and assists clients in the transition from jail to community-based agencies for alcohol and substance abuse treatment. The program coordinates with the Criminal Justice System to provide an integrated approach for client reentry into the community. Parolees receive pre-release counseling, case management, and on-going monitoring of after-care participation while they are in outpatient treatment.
How can I participate in this program?
Referral is required from the New York State Division of Parole.
Is there a charge for participation?
The program is provided free of any charges.
