Nassau County Executive Suozzi Meets with CEO Michael Russell
Mineola, NY- Nassau County Executive Thomas R. Suozzi (pictured on the left) recently met with Michael Russell, CEO of the Atlanta based HJ Russell & Company. HJ Russel, founded in 1953 by Herman J. Russell, is the largest and oldest minority owned construction and real estate enterprise in the country.
Nassau County Executive Suozzi and Michael Russell discussed increasing the participation of minorities and women in county procurement; capacity building for smaller firms, and joint ventures with local minority contractors. HJ Russell & Company is well known for the construction of such prominent projects as the Olympic Stadium in Atlanta, the Georgia Pacific headquarters building, Coca-Cola Headquarters, and the Philips Arena to name a few.
