The Nassau County Fire Prevention Ordinance establishes uniform regulations for the control of fire hazards and for the enforcement of such regulations in accordance with the recommendations of the Nassau County Fire Commission.

Automatic Fire Extinguishing Systems
Fire Alarm Systems
Fire and Smoke Detection Systems
Fire Sprinkler Systems
It sets forth the requirements for the storage and handling of flammable and combustible liquids, propane, and oxidizers. Additionally, its sets forth the requirements for applications, plans, and fees for the review, inspection, testing, and acceptance of required life safety systems and equipment.
