Deputy Commissioner, Nassau County Department of Health

The Nassau County Department of Health (DOH) seeks a Deputy Commissioner of Health for Administration (DCHA).  Resp. for performing admin & exec. duties in directing/coordinating activities of various divisions in Health Dept & perform related duties as req’d.  The DCHA will be resp for developing, coordinating & directing the implementation of departmental activities/programs, integrating/coordinating Dept ops/services w/ other County/State/Federal/public/private agencies, as well as analyzing operational procedures/practices.  The candidate will be expected to identify/pursue extramural funding & supervise the mgmt of grant applications/contractual arrangements.  Supervision/mgmt of personnel & HR functions will be an essential role in assisting the Commissioner.

Quals: Bachelor’s degree &10-15 yrs of admin. Exp. w/ 5+ years in health care &/or public health. Masters degree pref’d.
