ATTORNEY
The Office of Labor Relations is responsible for negotiating and administering the collective bargaining agreements with the County’s labor unions, including, but not limited to, unions representing police officers, correction officers and civil servants.
The Office of Labor Relations is also responsible for advising various Department officials on labor implications of policy proposals.
2+ years of experience is preferred.
Primary duties will include representing the County in contract grievance and disciplinary arbitrations; meeting with union officials to resolve employee/union issues; and advising the County Executive staff and Department heads on labor and employment issues. Immediate opportunities to take first chair role in arbitration hearings.
