The Nassau County Department of Health has allowed the following 23 beaches to reopen.

All 18 Nassau County North Shore Beaches

And

On the South Shore in Nassau County:

• Biltmore Beach Club Beach
• Hewlett Point Beach
• Island Park Beach
• Merrick Estates Civic Association Beach
• Phillip Healey Beach

These beaches had been closed as a precautionary measure due to heavy rainfall. Water sampling conducted by the Health Department indicates that water quality is within acceptable levels.
