Two Nassau Beaches Remain Closed for Labor Day

All Other Nassau County Beaches are Open for the Holiday

The Nassau County Department of Health has announced that two South Shore beaches in Nassau County will remain closed for the Labor Day weekend due to continued elevated levels of bacteria. These two beaches have been closed since August 21st. They are:

Biltmore Beach Club Beach
and
Phillip Healey Beach

All other Nassau County beaches will be opened for the Labor Day weekend. 

Labor Day is the last date lifeguards will be on duty for most beaches.  If there are no lifeguards stationed at a beach, the Health Department  reminds residents that swimming is prohibited.
