Beaches Open

The Nassau County Department of Health is allowing the following 22 beaches to reopen, effective today, June 7, 2009.

All 17 Nassau County North Shore Beaches*

and

On the South Shore in Nassau County:

Biltmore Beach Club Beach

Hewlett Point Beach

Island Park Beach

Merrick Estates Civic Association Beach

Philip Healey Beach

These beaches had been closed as a precautionary measure due to storm water runoff.
