Most Beaches Open

The Nassau County Department of Health is allowing the following 18 beaches to reopen, effective today, June 11, 2010.  Laurel Hollow Beach remains closed due to elevated bacteria levels.

 

13 Nassau County North Shore Beaches:

Creek Club                                

Lattingtown Beach              

Morgan Sound

North Hempstead Beach Park       

Piping Rock Beach Club

Prybil Beach

Ransom Beach

Roosevelt Beach

Sea Cliff Village Beach

Soundside Beach

Stehli Beach

Tappen Beach

and

5 Nassau County South Shore Beaches:

Biltmore Beach Club  

Hewlett Point Beach

Island Park Beach

Merrick Estates Civic Association

Philip Healey Beach

These beaches had been closed as a precautionary measure due to storm water runoff.
