This document contains a condensed summation of recently revised Part 14 Subpart 14-1 of Chapter 1 of the State Sanitary Code as it applies to food service establishments in Nassau County. This new law became effective August 19, 1992. It is designed to help you to become familiar with new provisions and to emphasize those which have a direct bearing on the preparation and service of safe food. We have covered those portions of the code which are most closely related to the protection of food and ultimately, the consumer. We urge you to examine this pamphlet closely and adhere to its provisions. Complete copies of Part 14 Subpart 14-1 are available on request to this office.
