The Nassau County Department of Health has allowed the following 11 beaches to reopen.

On the North Shore: Bar Beach Hempstead Harbor Park Beach Laurel Hollow Beach Sea Cliff Beach Tappan Beach On the South Shore: Biltmore Beach Club Beach Harbor Isle Beach Hewlett Point Beach Island Park Beach Merrick Estates Civic Association Beach Phillip Healey Beach

These beaches were closed last week as a precautionary measure due to stormwater runoff. Water sampling conducted by the Health Department indicates that water quality is within acceptable levels.
