Beach Closings

Due to heavy rainfall, the Nassau County Department of Health has closed the following 3 North Shore beaches as a precautionary measure, effective today, June 12, 2009.

Bar Beach

Creek Club

Laurel Hollow Beach

Storm water runoff can have a negative impact by elevating bacteria levels that are used to assess bathing water quality.

The 5 beaches on the South Shore and 14 beaches on the North Shore listed below are closed already as they are currently not operating Monday through Friday.
