Legislator Abrahams Hosts “Let’s Move! Back to School Health Fair” in Uniondale
This exciting, family-oriented event features school supply giveaways and free health screenings
(UNIONDALE, NY) – Nassau County Legislator Kevan Abrahams (D-Freeport) is proud to announce his upcoming “Let’s Move! Back to School Health Fair” at ShopRite Supermarket of Uniondale, which will take place on Saturday, Sept. 22, from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. The event will be held in conjunction with Glory House Recovery, Inc., Thompson Family Markets, ShopRite Supermarket of Uniondale and the Long Island Dietetic Association.
The health fair features a number of activities the entire family can enjoy. Attendees will learn to live a healthier lifestyle by getting proper healthcare information, and choosing the right foods and exercise. They will also have the opportunity to participate in fun games, giveaways and much more.
Children will receive a free drawstring bag and variety of school supplies (pencils, pens, crayons, notebooks and paper) to help kick-start the new school year, while supplies last. Free health screenings and affordable healthcare information will also be provided for the following areas: dental (children), Diabetes, cholesterol, blood pressure and other services for children and adults.
