Legislator Corbin Honored For His Superior Leadership At MLK Leadership Awards Breakfast

The third annual Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Leadership Awards Breakfast was hosted by the Hollywood Full Gospel Baptist Cathedral at the Huntington Hilton Hotel. Nassau County Legislator Roger Corbin (D-Westbury) was one of the honorees who received a leadership award for his dedication to the community.

“It was an honor for me to receive this award especially on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday,” Legislator Corbin said. “You know, I always remember what he preached to the world, the importance of brotherhood and community, two things that as a leader I constantly keep in mind. Being a leader means giving folks direction in terms of their lives whether it means health care, education, jobs, or economic development. It’s a big responsibility and I take this privilege very seriously.”

Nassau County Legislator Roger Corbin was deeply honored to receive the Leadership award for his years of dedicated and unselfish service to the community at the third annual Martin Luther King Jr. Leadership Awards Breakfast.
