Corbin and Abrahams announce mortgage tax revenues for local villages
County to disperse nearly $46M to 64 Incorporated Villages
Mineola, NY – Nassau County Deputy Presiding Officer Roger Corbin (D-Westbury) and Legislator Kevan Abrahams (D-Hempstead) recently announced a resolution to disperse more than $45M from Nassau County mortgage tax revenue to the County’s 64 incorporated villages. The Village of Westbury will receive $162,415, the Village of Hempstead will receive $437,898, and the Village of Freeport will receive $512,400.
“I am delighted that we can continue to offer our fiscal support and cooperation at a time when the villages really need it,” Corbin said.
