Legislator Ciotti Recognizes Michael Garcia

Nassau County Legislator John J. Ciotti presented Michael J. Garcia with a Citation for Excellence in recognition of his outstanding accomplishments in the legal field since his graduation with Central High School’s class of 1979.   Garcia is a U.S. Attorney whose career has been committed to national security and anti-terrorism.  He has served in many high-ranking positions in the Federal Government, including Acting Commissioner of the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service appointed by President Bush.  He has also held positions in the Department of Homeland Security, and as a federal prosecutor, he has prosecuted some of the highest-profile terrorism cases in the nation.
