Nassau County Legislator Denise Ford Celebrates Arbor Day

Legislator Denise Ford along with Long Beach City Manager Charles Theofan celebrated Arbor Day by planting another Aristocrat Pear Tree funded by a community revitalization grant from Nassau County Legislator Ford.  Helping them this year on Laurelton Blvd. was Club Scout Troop Den 6 & 7 of Pack 51, led by Robert Cody, who donated Kwanzan Cherry Trees.  Mr. & Mrs. Joel Grifenberger from Valley Tree & Landscaping taught the boys hands on the proper way of planting the trees, so they can receive their Webles Forest Badges.  “What a great time we had with the cub scouts, I would love Long Beach to be Tree City USA!” said Leg. Ford.
