Legislator Scannell Honors Coach Florio at Baldwin High School "Frosh" Track Meet

Nassau County Legislator Joe Scannell visited his alma mater for the annual “Frosh” Track Meet to show his appreciation to Coach Len Florio, the creator of the Baldwin High School track event, presenting him with a county citation.

“Being a part of the “Frosh” Track Meet years ago when I attended Baldwin High School is one of my fondest memories,” said Legislator Scannell. “It was a pleasure seeing students participate today and an honor for me to recognize my former track coach Len Florio who made this event possible.”

Nassau County Legislator Joe Scannell presented a county citation to Coach Len Florio who created the Baldwin High School "Frosh" Track Meet which is now in its 20th year. Legislator Scannell was joined by, from left, Len Florio, his grandchildren, Samantha and Christopher Florio;
