Legislator Scannell Holds Tax Grievance Workshop

Nassau County Legislator Joe Scannell (D-Baldwin) and Helen McQueen who works at the County Assessor’s office display homeowner literature which was distributed to the 40 residents who attended Legislator Scannell’s homeowner tax grievance workshop.Each year Legislator Scannell holds a series of these community sessions to guide homeowners as they consider appealing their property assessments. Ms. McQueen provided detailed information to assist participants as they decide whether or not to file an appeal. She also explained how to fill out the necessary forms to register their grievance. The workshop was held on February 1st at the
