Legislator Scannell Obtains Funds For Hastings School Improvements
Nassau County Legislator Joe Scannell (D-Baldwin) presented a novelty check for $73,530.00 to Hastings Street Elementary School to fund improvements to the community room. The funds will enable the school to replace floor mats, and provide much needed repairs to the floor.
“I am pleased that the funds are now available to make the needed improvements in Hastings' community room,” Legislator Scannell said. “This is a project that is well overdue. The children at Hastings’ Street deserve a safe place for group activities, and I am proud of our school officials for helping to make it happen. The room will be a much brighter place and benefit all residents who utilize it, both during school and for those who enjoy the after hours programs.”
