Legislator Bosworth Hosts Free Car Seat Safety Checks Ensure the Safety of the Children You Care About
Nassau County Legislator Judi Bosworth (D-Great Neck) will host free car seat safety checks conducted by Nassau County Traffic Safety Board’s educator Chris Mistron, on Wednesday, Sept. 30, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Parkwood parking lot on Arrandale Ave. (across from Great Neck North Middle School) in Great Neck, and on Friday, Oct. 2, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Christopher Morley Park.
“The fact that nine out of ten car seats are installed improperly indicates that people are unsure of how to secure the devices that were created to ensure children’s safety,” Legislator Bosworth said. “I am pleased that holding this event will afford parents and caregivers with important information that will help to keep children safe. This 15-minute inspection could save a child’s life.”
Appointments, which are required, run every 20 minutes, can be made by calling Legislator Bosworth’s office at (516) 571-6210.
