Legislator Bosworth Hosts Car Seat Safety Check

Nassau County Legislator Judi Bosworth (D-Great Neck) hosted a free car seat safety check at Christopher Morley Park. Nassau County Traffic Safety Board’s educator Chris Mistron conducted the check sharing his expertise during the 15-minute inspections. Residents were given information regarding the proper procedures to follow when installing car and booster seats.

“The fact that nine out of ten car seats are installed improperly indicates that people are unsure of how to secure the devices that were created to ensure children’s safety,” Legislator Bosworth said. “I am pleased that holding this event afforded parents and caregivers with important information that will help to keep children safe. This 15-minute inspection could save a child’s life.”
