Nassau Legislators Commend Eagle Scout Michael Heenan
Nassau County Legislators Judi Bosworth (D-Great Neck) and Wayne Wink (D-Roslyn) are pictured with Plandome Troop 71’s newly minted Eagle Scout, Michael Heenan.His Court of Honor was held at Plandome Village Hall earlier this month and included the participation of Congressman Gary Ackerman, State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli and Town of North Hempstead Councilman Fred Pollack.
To attain the distinguished rank of Eagle Scout, Michael organized and led a coat drive for the homeless in Manhattan. He collected 332 coats and jackets and to help Catholic Worker House and two other charities distribute them. Legislators Bosworth and Wink each commended Michael on his steadfast dedication to the Boy Scout Program and to his community. Michael lives with his family in Plandome Manor. Bully!
